Chicago's Leading Edge Scholarships
Our chapter is proud to support aspiring aviation professionals by offering scholarships that help fund flight training, education, and career development opportunities. These scholarships are designed to empower women and girls to achieve their goals and make meaningful contributions to the aviation and aerospace industries.

Lighspeed Headset
Recipients receive one Lightspeed Zulu headset to support clear communication and comfort during flight training; applicants must have volunteered at the 2025 Girls in Aviation Day event to be eligible.

WAI Conference
Last year, we awarded 9 scholarships (estimated value: $1,000 each) to support Early Membership Registration and flights to the WAI Conference.
We’re currently fundraising to offer similar support for the 2026 WAI Conference in Dallas, Texas (March 19–21, 2026). While we can’t guarantee the number or amount of scholarships this year, we still encourage interested members to apply.
