Chicago's Leading Edge Scholarships

Our chapter is proud to support aspiring aviation professionals by offering scholarships that help fund flight training, education, and career development opportunities. These scholarships are designed to empower women and girls to achieve their goals and make meaningful contributions to the aviation and aerospace industries.

Scholarship 1: 2025 WAI National Conference

Recipient(s) of the award will receive Early Membership Registration and flight to the 2025 WAI Conference being held in Denver, Colorado March 27-29, 2025. Award does not include meals and accommodations.

Scholarship 2: Pilot Institute Online Flight Training

Recipient of the award will receive One Online Flight Training Course (drone or airplane) of recipients choice from Pilot Institute.

Scholarship 3: Trip to Interview at Pilot Institute in Arizona

We’re offering two women an all-expenses-paid trip to Arizona, courtesy of Pilot Institute, to be featured in a professional YouTube video sharing their unique journeys in aviation! Winners will enjoy exciting aviation activities, stay in a comfortable hotel, and get the opportunity to be interviewed in a professional studio to highlight their experiences and inspire others. Applicants who have a unique story, please be sure to include in your essay.
